Whatsapp is very useful application it helps you communicate with people.when you install this application it will automatically read your contacts which of them have whatsapp id will directly be added to your whatsapp list.If you would like to add new contact to your contacts list on whatsapp.Simply add the name and number in your phones adress book and then refresh your whatsapps list.
In order to get best experience of using whatsapp it is strongly important that you allow whatsapp to access your phone book.But if you have initially denied to whatsapp to have access of your phone book you can do it later by going to your iphone’s setting.
How do I enable access to my contacts?
I am going to tell you how can you enable whatsapp to access your iphone’s phone book.Here are steps follow them.
STEP#1.
Open iphone setting and tap on privacy.
STEP#2.
Tap to contacts and make sure that whatsapp is set to on.
And if whatsapp is greyed out or does not appear in the privacy setting.
WHAT SHOULD WE DO?
It is very rare that whatsapp does not appear in the privacy options but some people have this problem.Ensure that you have not have any restrictions set in the iphone setting > general > restrictions.
Otherwise you should most likely need to restore your phone that would be helpful for you.
If you like to add more contacts in the whatsapp you would have to add the name and number of that person in your phone directory and have to refresh the whatsapp contacts list.If you are having problem that how would you refresh that list so we are here to tell you that how can you do that.
1.Open whatsapp.
2.Go to the Contacts tab > Menu button > Refresh.
If someone who is not saved in your phone book sends you an initial message in whatsapp you will have the options to save their contact information by taping ADD TO CONTACTS.
If you don’t want whatsapp to access your iphone phone book.And you want to add someone you can do it by using other way.You can add the contacts also manually but when you are adding contacts from abroad make sure that you write their full number including their country code like this.
- + [Country Code] [Full Phone Number].
- Also be sure to omit any leading 0’s from the phone number.
What happens if I do not allow WhatsApp access to my contacts?
Although it is strongly recommended that you allow whatsapp to access you phone book but if you have denied this.You can still use whatsapp but you would not be able to enjoy all the features of whatsapp.
If you deny whatsapp to access you phone book you would be able to.
- Receive messages from other WhatsApp users and groups.
- Change whatsapp setting.
You Would not be able to.
- See any contact names; you will only see phone numbers.
- Start a new chat by entering a phone number.
- Start a new group chat and broadcast message.
- See favorites and see your status.
