Apple gives best features to its users than any other brand does one of which is that you can track down your device if it is stolen. If your iPhone and iPad is stolen don’t need to worry at all. Because today i am telling you the whole procedure that how can you save your personal contacts and other information on your stolen device.
People worried because their device does carry some important information other contacts and their different account. So you don’t need to worry at all because i am telling you the procedure through which you can do save your different information. But a thing that is compulsory if you want to track down your device is that you must have activated Find my phone / iphone / mac.
NOTE:
If you haven’t activated Find My Phone / iPad / Mac when you set up your device this method won’t work.
Track Down Your iPhone And iPad If Stolen…
Here by i am telling you all the steps included in this procedure one by one.
STEP 1.
Open the Site icloud.com and sign in your Apple ID . ( open the ID you use with your iCloud ).
If you are using other iCloud App. Click the apps name on the top of the iCloud window and now click on the Find My Phone. If you don’t get such options on icloud it means that your account has access to iCloud web features only. If you want to gain access to all other features. Set Up iCloud on your iOS device.
STEP 2.
Then a new page will appear on which there will be all your devices select the device you want to track.
STEP 3.
Now Click on Lost Mode.
STEP 4.
Follow the instruction on the screen and have following things in your mind.
1. If you device already have a pass code you will use that pass code to lock the device.
2. If you are asked to set up a pass code that pass code will be required to unlock your device so remember that pass code.
3. If you want to track down MAC , iOS device of you family member and that device does not possess a pass code than you have to enter that person’s Apple ID and Password.
4. If it ask you for phone number than give that phone number from which you can be reached.
5. If you are asked to enter a message you may want to indicate that you device is stolen or how to contact you.
STEP 5.
If you use Lost mode while tracking begins you will see your device’s current location and changes in its locations on the map.
If you put your iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 plus in lost mode and you may have credit cards and debit cards in passbook for apple pay. If you have credits and debit cards in passbook for apple pay you will have to immediately suspend your cards even if you phone is offline using Find My iPhone. And once you have back your phone and want to start reusing your cards you have to Turn Off Lost Mode.
To Turn Off the Lost mode follow the same steps but rather than turning on the lost mode turn it off. Now you can use you cards on your Device.
