Apple Released its new iOs 8 for the iPhone 4s,iPhone 5,iPhone 5c,iPhone 5s,iPhone 6,iPhone 6+ and respective iPads .And probably 83% of the iPhone users have updated their iPhone to the latest ios 8 version. I was one of them. The problem was not that i didn’t like ios 7 but the problem was that i loved an update more. I tried out the beta version of ios 8 on my iPhone 4s. Yes! i own an iPhone 4S. It didnt get well and had some performance issues. Later i went back to ios 7.1 . Later when the update was rolled out. I was not so sure whether to install it or not. But i did it anyway . After half a day i was sick of the iPhone 4s with ios 8 that i no longer wanted to have it. Lucky for me the ios signing window was still not closed and i had a chance to revert back to my old ios 7.1 firmware. I straight away ran to my laptop and downloaded the previous ios version. Put my iphone in D-F-U mode (Here’s how to do it) and restored it back to ios 7.1 ,with a smile on my face. I was glad to see the performance on its peak once again.
Like most of you i am not an ios 7 lover. I loved the ios firmware up to ios 6. The old firmware was one of the main reasons i bought an iPhone. LAter when my 4s updated to ios 7 i looked everywhere on the web a tutorial to downgrade back to ios 6. I searched every video on YouTube. Every link on Google,Bing and spend hours just reading useless posts. Some telling me to do this. Some to do that. Upgrading on iPhone is a hard choice and you’ll have to stick with it.
Here are some reasons that you can’t downgrade your ios on your iPhone ever.

Before Downgrading You Should Know What is Apple signing status ?
Apple signing status means that what version of firmware for a certain device apple is currently allowing to update or allowing to install in their devices. If there’s a firmware you want to install but is not being currently signed by apple then there’s no way in hell you can install that firmware. This is one of the major reasons why you cannot downgrade to previous versions. And why you get iTunes 3194 error while restoring to ios 6 or ios 7. Because Apple is not allowing this on their behalf.
iOS is a Closed Source Operating System
Unlike Android ,iOS is not an open source firmware. Apple’s security is very strict and they dont let their operating system to be tweaks, customized or made changed or into other versions by the developers. This can mainly be because of keeping standards or security concerns. Unlike android which has different customized versions because it is an open source firmware and can be tweaked by developers. An example of this is that you dont see any custom roms for iOS while android has many custom firmwares or roms available for many devices.
Apple wont allow downgrading
If you want to downgrade your iPhone to an iOS version that apple is no longer signing than don’t bother. Apple wont allow that. You’re simply wasting your time. I know because i was once sitting like you facing my laptop’s screen for hours and searching for a way to downgrade my iPhone 4s back to ios 6.Even with iTunes you can’t downgrade your firmware. You can upgrade but downgrading is not an option. In the downgrading process when itunes connects to apple and asks for permission. Apple will not give it if the iOS version is old and not being signed.
Jailbreaking wont help
Some tutorials say that by jailbreaking your iPhone you get the ability of bypassing apple signing and easily downgrading your iphone, ipad .It’s all a big lie. By jailbreaking you can save your SHSH blobs which can then be used to stitch to ios firmware file (ipsw) and then downgrade (only upto iPhone 4) but that’s not always an option. Also this method may only work for iPhone 4 or lower. Most people like me didn’t saved shsh blob files when they upgraded .So this method goes to a total fail.
The Only Possible Way is iTunes Controlled By Apple
Apple simply doesnt like downgrading. iTunes is a software officially used for apple’s devices to restore or to upgrade, but also you can use it to downgrade your iPhone. Just put the iphone in DFU mode and shit+restore ipsw in itunes and hit restore . Easy isn’t it ? but there’s a catch. Just after the ipsw is extracted . Itunes connects to apple and asks for permission to restore firmware . If it’s an old firmware which is not being currently signed by apple then iTunes stops giving an error and restarts your phone.
So you can’t not downgrade your iPhone,iPad or iPod. I wasted my time on this sh*t . I don’t want others to do so to. So i’ve compiled this short post to let you all know that stick with your apple firmware. If you want to update then update but you certainly can’t downgrade.
